East Yorkshire Girls Cricket were bowled over with delight when they received news of their new sponsor in the form of BJB Lift Trucks. The sponsorship will cover all the teams up to U19 for the next season and will enable the organisation to continue providing coaching and facilities practically free of charge. The money will also go towards the club being able to offer GM branded clothing at reduced rates and a full programme of winter coaching sessions.

Ian Roden of BJB Lift Trucks explained, “As a keen cricketer I think it’s great to see the growing interest both locally and nationally for girls cricket. The success of the England women’s cricket team in recent years has definitely fueled this interest. There are some very talented players in the East Yorkshire girls teams and their participation in this sport serves not only to promote physical well being, but also team working skills that could benefit them in their future careers.”

Coach, Joe Moore, added, “East Yorkshire Girls Cricket are incredibly excited to be partnering with BJB Lift Trucks. With their support we will be able to offer more high level skills and technical coaching, hopefully developing future county and national players in a fun and safe environment.”
