BJB ready to support seafood sector growth

The Humber Seafood Institute was the venue for the latest Humber Seafood Development Day, hosted by Seafish. BJB Lift Trucks Head of Marketing, Nikki Hale, joined representatives from the seafood processing sector at the full day event.

Presentations from Seafox and the Department of UK Trade and Industry outlined a raft of funding available to the seafood sector to boost it’s export trade. It was highlighted that the Humber ports were responsible for handling more seafood than the rest of the UK put together.

Mark Noblett from UKTI spoke about the central government funded mission to work with SME’s to double their exports. This help included financial assistance with overseas trade shows, flights and introductions to international buyers.

BJB’s Nikki Hale commented, “BJB Lift Trucks have strong connections with the seafood sector, both locally and nationally, and its crucial we are up to date with what’s happening in that sector. We want our existing client base, and any other companies not currently using our services, to know that if they are planning to grow then we are ready to support that growth!”
