BJB Mechanical Services was launched in 1982 by three partners, Mike Bates, Alf Jackson and Alec Brown.

The company offered services to local companies and soon took on the role as the area’s leading materials handling supplier. Having had such trading partners as Hamech, Mitsubishi and Kalmar, BJB changed its trading name in 1997 to BJB Lift Trucks Limited and became front-line partners with Finning UK taking on the prestigious and ever successful CAT® brand.

BJB, like most companies, has traded through difficult times but is still remaining strong, in fact 2007 has seen BJB at it’s strongest.

Since the retirement in July 2007 of the last remaining original director Mike Bates MD, fellow directors and share holders Philip Flowers, Peter Harvey and Company Secretary Marie Hardy, along with a strong TEAM will take BJB Lift Trucks into 2008 with a complete new branding, logo, and image.

The new logo and image launched on Monday 10th December 2007 represents a new dawn, a rising sun taking the new company into the future, fit and strong. New offices, conference room, external signage, vans complete with specialist internal racking all decaled to portray the new, even more professional BJB Lift Trucks Limited.
